A ceremony will be held on May 17 to commemorate the second anniversary of Grand Ayatollah Bahjat’s demise in the holy city of Qom.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A ceremony will be held on May 17 to commemorate the second anniversary of Grand Ayatollah Bahjat’s demise in the holy city of Qom.

 According to Hojat-ol-Islam Akbari, who is in charge of the Office for the Source of Emulation, the ceremony is scheduled to be held after Maqreb and Ishaa prayers at the Grand Mosque of the city.

 Hojat-ol-Islam Seddiqi, interim Friday prayer leader in Tehran will present a speech at the ceremony, in which are to attend Hoze scholars and seminarians as well as the pilgrims of the holy shrine of Hazrat Ma’soumeh (SA).

 It will be followed by elegies to be reportedly performed by Mohammad Khorram.

 A similar program is to be held in Tehran commemorating the occasion on May 19 at 4 pm. local time which will continue until the evening prayers.

 The Grand source of emulation passed away on May 17, 2009 in the holy city of Qom and was buried near the holy shrine of Hazrat Ma’soumeh (SA).
